ATHLETE QUESTIONS

Here are answers to some of the most commonly asked questions as we get closer to the race:

 PARKING ON RACE WEEKEND

No vehicles allowed in Cherry Creek State Park.

Parking for athletes, volunteers and spectators will be at Cherry Creek High School, 9300 E Union Avenue. Located at the intersection of South Dayton and East Union Avenue.

After parking, you will walk/ride your bike and gear into the park towards Hobie Hill.

Transition area opens at 6:30 AM.

*NOTE: Participants do not have to pay the park entrance fee, that was included in your registration. When you arrive at the ranger station, please let them know you are a participant and you will be good to go.

Spectators will have to pay the park entrance fee.

PACKET PICKUP RACE DAY ONLY

You will get your packet on race day. To expedite the process, please:

  • Know your event: Are you doing the Triathlon or the Duathlon

  • Know your bib number: You will get this via email on the Friday before.

  • Know if you are racing independently or as a relay/buddy wave.

When you arrive onsite your *packets will be sorted by bib number on tables near transition. You will find your own packet and proceed to transition.

*Packets include bib, bike sticker, timing chip, swim cap, and race tank. Duathlon participants you will not have swim cap in your packet.

BIB AND WAVE ASSIGNMENTS

Bib numbers will be emailed by no later Friday, September 6, 2024.

Race starts promptly at 8:00 AM.

Triathletes we suggest bringing a pair of water shoes or flip flops, etc to the swim start to protect your feet on the dirt path leading down to the swim start from the transition area.

Headphones and/or ear buds will NOT be allowed on the bike course. Please remember to dismount bikes prior to entering into transition area.
